Profile and Background

My name is Sarah, and I am proudly from Nova Scotia. After completing a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology major) from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria (UVIC), I relocated to Calgary in 2015 to complete my Masters of Social Work- Clinical Specialization at the University of Calgary (U of C), and I have now come to call Calgary home. When I am not cycling, running or practicing yoga and meditation, you can most certainly find me with my nose in a book. I value continued education and learning; therefore, I am always seeking to grow by immersing myself in a variety of training and educational opportunities.

I have experience working in a variety of community and in-patient mental health and addictions programs, although, my passion is to work primarily with adults on an individual basis.  I am registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) and am authorized by the ACSW to perform restricted psychosocial interventions.

I use a variety of mindfulness based approaches in my practice, with the goal to improve emotional and mental well being, and functioning in your every day life and support you to find healing and peace.

I believe the journey through therapy is a deeply individual experience; and therefore, your  experience should be tailored to your own needs, desires and goals. I endeavor to provide a safe, calm and supportive space in which to walk with you on this journey.
